If you're going to try to commit a robbery, you'd better make sure there isn't a former boxing champ in the area.

That's the advice we'd give to 26-year-old robbery suspect Anthony Nemeth, who allegedly tried to rob a Walgreens pharmacy before getting dealt with by former state boxing titleholder David West.

West was simply trying to be a good boyfriend and ask his girlfriend what she wanted for lunch when all the action went down.

"She said, 'Subway,' and literally like right as she said, 'Subway,' the gentleman walked around the counter and jumped onto the counter, demanding pain medicine," West explained according to a report from ABC13 in Florida.

The video shows West approach Nemeth, who is wearing a mask, and then grab him by his sweatshirt as he tries to escape before landing a few swift punches. Nemeth was left bruised, bloodied and unconscious for his troubles.

"I really wasn't trying to hurt anybody, I was just trying to do what was right," West said. "I was protecting the one I love."

Beating the crap out of a robber in the name of love gets a thumbs up in my book.
