An associate of boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been indicted in a shooting involving a man who argued with the boxer at a skating rink last August.

A judge in Las Vegas issued a summons Wednesday for 27-year-old Ocie Harris of Chicago to appear May 4 on attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and weapons charges, three days after Mayweather's scheduled fight with Shane Mosley jun. at the MGM Grand.

Harris was previously arrested in Chicago and freed after posting $7,500 bail March 6 in Las Vegas. The judge on Wednesday increased Harris' bail to $140,000.

Police have said the 33-year-old Mayweather is not a suspect in the shooting. A prosecutor says he isn't named in the indictment.

But Harris' lawyer, Tom Pitaro, is accusing prosecutors of pressing the case against Harris to try to get Mayweather.
