John-Yordan bigger than you think

In what is being billed as Indonesia’s biggest fight ever, WBA featherweight champ Chris John (44-0-2, 22 KOs) will be looking to make the 14th defense of his title against countryman Daud Yordan (27-1, 21 KOs) April 17th at the Jakarta International Expo in Jakarta, Indonesia.
John, who is a massive star in his home country, has held the true WBA featherweight title since winning the interim belt against Oscar Leon in 2003. In his last encounter, he beat Fernando David Saucedo via unanimous decision in December.
Yordan is best known for his spirited two-round no contest with Robert Guerrero in 2009 and his one-sided 2010 unanimous decision loss to Celestino Caballero.
There is no US outlet for this fight, but with a good portion of 240 million Indonesians tuning in, this card is likely to have a bigger audience than Berto-Ortiz, Lopez-Salido and Khan-McCloskey — combined.
