Boxers Travis and Tarvis Simms arrested in Conn

Boxers Travis and Tarvis Simms have been arrested on assault charges after allegedly getting into a fight with each other over the weekend.
Norwalk Police Lt. Paul Resnick says Travis (26-1, with 19 knockouts), a former super welterweight champion, allegedly punched his twin brother in the face as the 38-year-olds were arguing at Travis' home on Saturday night.
The story was first reported Monday in The Hour of Norwalk.
Resnick says Travis' 10-year-old daughter was bitten on the arm when she tried to intervene as the twins were rolling around on the kitchen floor.
Resnick says Tarvis allegedly grabbed a knife and threatened Travis, who got a gun and asked his brother to leave.
Travis, a city councilman, was arraigned Monday on charges of reckless endangerment, threatening, and third-degree assault.
Tarvis (24-0-1) was arraigned on charges of risk of injury to a minor, threatening, and third-degree assault.
