Backs out of transfer portal Sims has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal and will return to Virginia Tech, 247Sports reports.

Impact Sims entered the portal earlier in the day but has quickly withdrawn and looks et to play for the Hokies in 2022. He has yet to record a stat on offense and may not be in line to immediately contribute this season, but Sims has a full four years of eligibility remaining.

Impact Sims didn't have a role with the Hokies last season and hasn't recorded a stat yet in his college career. As a recruit, he had offers from a number of other FBS schools, so he could receive some interest to remain at that level with another program.
