NASCAR FRONT AND CENTER FROM MICHIGAN FOR FOX SPORTS 1 LAUNCH

All Hands on Deck as SPEED & FOX Sports 1 Team for More Than 14 Hours of LIVE NASCAR Coverage This Weekend from Michigan

Saturday’s official launch of FOX Sports 1, America’s new sports network, is highlighted by comprehensive NASCAR programming LIVE from Michigan International Speedway.

Wall-to-wall NASCAR on FOX coverage from Michigan begins Friday at 12 PM ET with six-and-a-half hours of LIVE programming on FOX Sports’ SPEED, and continues Saturday at 8 AM ET with six-and-a-half consecutive hours of LIVE NASCAR action on FOX Sports 1, headlined by the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. The popular NASCAR RACEDAY and NASCAR VICTORY LANE programs also are featured Sunday on FOX Sports 1.

“NASCAR has been a cornerstone of the FOX Sports lineup for more 12 years and has remained one of our most popular properties during that time,” said Billy Wanger, FOX Sports EVP Programming and Research. “Our longstanding commitment to NASCAR continues with FOX Sports 1, and we’re putting the sport front and center this weekend at Michigan International Speedway. We hope fans enjoy this jam-packed weekend of racing and celebrate their passion for NASCAR right along with us.”

SPEED kicks off the FOX Sports’ historic weekend with LIVE coverage of Friday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Practice at 12 PM ET, in addition to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Final Practice at 2:30 PM ET and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Qualifying at 3:30 PM ET.

NASCAR LIVE! originates from the FOX Sports Stage at Michigan on Friday at 1:30 PM ET on SPEED. Hosted by John Roberts, with analysis from Kenny Wallace and reporting by Jeff Hammond and Matt Clark, the 30-minute show offers updates from the day’s practice sessions and the latest breaking news.

TRACKSIDE airs its 429th and final episode live from Michigan on Friday at 5:30 PM ET on SPEED. Guests on the program, which originally premiered at select tracks in 2003, include Cup Series championship contenders Clint Bowyer and Matt Kenseth. Danielle Trotta hosts alongside Kyle Petty, Rutledge Wood and Kaitlyn Vincie.

On Saturday, NASCAR LIVE! ushers in the new era of NASCAR on FOX Sports 1 at 8 AM ET from Michigan. Host Roberts, analyst and NASCAR Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip, analysts Hammond and Wallace and reporters Wendy Venturini and Matt Yocum put viewers in-the-know for the weekend’s on-track activity.

Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Kyle Petty call NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Practice Saturday at 8:30 AM ET LIVE. Bob Dillner and Yocum patrol the garage as teams fine-tune their cars for Sunday’s race.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Qualifying is up next at 9:30 AM ET. Rick Allen, Phil Parsons and Michael Waltrip call the action that sets the starting field for the afternoon’s race, with reports from Ray Dunlap and Hermie Sadler.

FOX Sports 1 continues wall-to-wall NASCAR coverage with live presentation of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Final Practice at 11 AM ET. The NASCAR on FOX broadcast team of Joy, McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip handle the call as teams make last-minute changes in preparation for Sunday’s race. Dillner and Venturini report on who is sitting pretty and who still has some work to do for Sunday.

Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Michigan marks FOX Sports 1’s first-ever live event, beginning at 12:30 PM ET. Barely halfway through a 22-race season, points leader Matt Crafton looks to increase his advantage on the other top-10 contenders, who are separated by a mere 32 points.

FOX Sports 1 kicks off its Truck Series race coverage with a packed NCWTS SETUP pre-race show live at 12 PM ET. Trotta fills in for Krista Voda as host, and is joined by analyst Michael Waltrip. Dunlap and Sadler deliver last-minute driver interviews as teams prepare to crank their engines.

It’s all-hands-on-deck for NASCAR RACEDAY on Sunday at 10 AM ET. Roberts hosts FOX Sports 1’s popular NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pre-race show with special guest analyst Darrell Waltrip and regular analysts Petty and McReynolds. Venturini, Wallace and Wood deliver inside stories and driver interviews from the garage and pit road.

FOX Sports 1 has every detail of Sunday’s Cup Series race covered with extensive post-race coverage on NASCAR VICTORY LANE at 7 PM ET. Roberts, Petty and Wallace interview the winning driver and crew chief, while Dillner catches up with other key players.

In addition, NASCAR RACE HUB, the nightly NASCAR news and magazine show, continues on FOX Sports 1 in a new time slot. The program, co-hosted by Steve Byrnes and Trotta, moves to 4:30 PM ET Monday through Thursday.

NASCAR fans can catch even more motor sports news on the new FOX SPORTS LIVE, FOX Sports 1’s flagship news, opinion and highlights program airing nightly. FOX SPORTS LIVE premieres at 11 PM ET on Aug. 17, and will include recaps of all the weekend’s NASCAR action at Michigan.
