The memory of Lynda Petty -- wife of seven-time NASCAR champion Richard Petty -- continues to live on.
Since her passing in March, the Petty Family Foundation has received numerous monetary donations in Lynda's memory. Thanks to that generosity, the foundation has announced four organizations that will receive donations of their own.

- Mount Lebanon Baptist Church
- Randolph County Community College
"We are so grateful for all who have donated to the Petty Family Foundation in memory of our mother," said Rebecca Petty Moffitt, executive director of The Petty Family Foundation. "The family wanted to give back to the places where our mother contributed and to those she helped and in return helped her. Although this is only a small list of the many people that she touched, we hope they can benefit from the donations."
