Feud Of The Week: The Biff Vs. 5-Time
It's as inevitable as death and taxes: Whenever there's a NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway, at least one driver will decide he's mad as hell and he's not going to take it anymore.
In Sunday's Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500, that driver was Greg Biffle, who had contact first with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and then with Jimmie Johnson, ending up with the rear fascia being torn loose on Biffle's car. NASCAR black-flagged Biffle, forcing him to pit so his Roush Fenway Racing crew could cut the loose bodywork off.
Instead of a top-five finish, Biffle ended the race ninth and afterwards, he confronted Johnson on pit road, grabbing him by the collar and spinning the five-time champion around.
A spirited debate ensued between the two.
Alas, cooler heads prevailed, and on Monday, Biffle apologized on Twitter.
