Raquel Pennington vs. Roxanne Modafferi rounds out TUF 18 Finale

The final fight was added to The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale show on Saturday night as former Team Tate members Raquel Pennington and Roxanne Modafferi will square off as both fighters look to earn their way in the UFC.

The final bout for The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale was announced on Wednesday as veteran competitor Roxanne Modafferi will take on fellow cast member Raquel Pennington in a bantamweight bout on the undercard.

Pennington landed in the slot after losing in the semifinal round against Jessica Rakoczy to determine who would meet Julianna Pena in the finale for the series.

She will now meet the other fighter who lost to Rakoczy on the show as Modafferi looks to pick up her first win in the UFC after a career that spans back a decade when she first fought in 2003.

On the show both Pennington and Modafferi were coached under the tutelage of Miesha Tate, but now they will square off in the Octagon with the winner guaranteed another shot in the UFC.

Modafferi will actually enter the fight on a five-fight losing streak with her last win coming back in 2010 in a fight against Tara LaRosa. Pennington will also look to break a two-fight skid when she makes her debut while looking to earn her spot in the UFC.
