Impact Set to turn 40 years old in four days, Kowalkiewicz was predictably dominated from start to finish as a +430 underdog. Karolina's stand-up defense was poor in her heyday and it's flat out non existent now. She doesn't move her head off the center line and never moves her feet. The end result was a 137-72 edge for Polastri in terms of significant strikes landed. Karolina displayed remarkable toughness lasting as long as she did. Kowalkiewicz has lost three in a row dating back to May 2024 and there simply isn't any upside to the UFC continuing to run her back out there.

This comes after a run of four straight victories that began in 2022.
