Watch Lionel Messi pull off an incredible bicycle kick assist

It may be only preseason, but Lionel Messi is already doing midseason Leo Messi things.

Messi is the type of player you feel like you have to watch every single time he plays, because every single time he plays he has the potential to do something you’ve never seen before. You watch him in preseason, you watch him for his national team (hopefully again, please, Leo), you watch him if he’s kicking a paper ball around his living room. If he’s playing, you watch him.

You watch Leo Messi play because, at some point, he’s probably going to do something spectacular. Like a casual assist from an overhead kick in the middle of the opposition area.

At first, it looks as if Messi simply miss-hit his strike, putting it well off target. That's fair. Even the best in history misses the mark from time to time. He is, after all, human, right?

Maybe not. His "miskick" ended far from goal, but right on the dome of a streaking Luis Suarez who easily nodded it into the back of the net. It's a partnership we've seen come to fruition time and again, and just like every single one of those link-ups before, this one doesn't look like any sort of coincidence.

Here's my hot take: Messi is good. Take it up with the powers that be if you happen to feel otherwise.
