Some of soccer's biggest stars surprised a teary-eyed Mesut Ozil with a birthday video

Mesut Ozil turned the ripe old age of 28 on Saturday, and it made for a birthday he won't soon forget. Ozil hit a ridiculous volleyed finish for what would prove to be the difference-maker in Arsenal's 3-2 win against Swansea.

Not a bad birthday present! It turns out there was more to come for Ozil, though.

A slew of Ozil's former and current teammates, as well as some other soccer stars, put together a montage video all wishing Ozil a happy birthday. The result is priceless, as Ozil posted the video (with his reaction as he watched inset) to Facebook.

There's a lot to digest there, but you don't need to be fluent in German to get the message. Here are some personal highlights from the video:

• Spain legend Xabi Alonso speaking German. Good for you, Xabi!
• Luka Modric saying they miss him at Real Madrid.
• Leroy Sane's dance.
• Watching Mesut's face lighting up when he sees Antonio Rudiger.
• Robert Pires telling Ozil to drink beer. That's a good friend.
• Julian Draxler saying he hopes Ozil retires from Germany soon so that he can swipe the No. 10 jersey.
• Olivier Giroud winking. Enough said.

It looks like Ozil has a lot of friends in the sport. Happy 28th birthday, Mesut!
