Orlando City SC will honor nightclub shooting victims with special section in new stadium

Following the tragic Pulse nightclub shootings in Orlando, Florida in June, Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride will honor the victims in their new stadium which is scheduled to be open for the start of the 2017 Major League Soccer season.

In honor of the lives taken in the horrific incident, the 25,500-seater stadium will have 49 seats installed in the venue in the colors of the rainbow flag, representing solidarity with the LGBT community.

This classy gesture continues the efforts Orlando have made to honor the victims of the tragedy, having originally dedicated a home match against the San Jose Earthquakes to the memory of those lost, blocking off 49 seats for each victim, and changing their corner flags to rainbow colors as well.

Pure class from the Orlando franchise.
