Watch Hope Solo's immediate, teary-eyed response to USA Soccer suspension

Hope Solo had a rough Olympic experience this year. Not only did she and the rest of her USWNT teammates fail to medal, but Solo also then proceeded to call the Swedish team "a bunch of cowards" after they eliminated the Americans. It was enough to earn the veteran goalkeeper a six-month suspension from USA Soccer, possibly ending the 35-year-old's international career.

As it turns out, documentary cameras were present when Solo received the news of her ban, and she took the news about as hard as you'd probably expect.

"Seventeen [expletive] years and it's over," she said while fighting back tears and embracing her husband, former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens. "Six months suspension. No pay. Terminated contract. Effective immediately."

The cameras were rolling for the Fullscreen series Keeping Score, which documents the journeys of several star players from the U.S. women's soccer team before, during and after the Olympics. The final episode of the series, which will presumably cover the Solo incident more in-depth, airs September 2nd.
