Federico Bernardeschi is one of the brightest young players leading the new generation of Italian stars, and he keeps showing exactly why he's thought of so highly on the peninsula. The 23-year-old Fiorentina man already had 12 goals on the season, and added a 13th against Borussia Monchengladbach in Europa League on Thursday.

There was nothing unlucky about it.

It's one of the most beautiful free kicks we've seen all year.

Curled in from well outside the area, Bernardeschi's strike scythes perfectly into the upper corner, and there's really not a keeper in the world who would've saved this one. Watch it over and over again. Everything about it is perfect. The slight deception to go far post, the whip, the bend, the pure velocity.

It's not just one of the best free kicks of the season, this one should go down as one of the all-time greats.
