The assist was Rusnak's first since joining Seattle ahead of the 2022 campaign. In 2023, Rusnak scored seven times over 36 appearances (34 starts) from the midfield for Seattle. With his regular midfield partner Joao Paulo returning to fitness, Rusnak's duties may shift with the Seattle system.

The goal was Teves's second career MLS goal. WIth the Sounders looking for answers in attack as they weather an injury-plagued beginning to the season, Teves will almost certainly have caught the head coach's attention with his energetic substitute performance Saturday.
