The United States drew against Serbia and beat Jamaica 1-0, but still fell down a spot in the latest rankings. They were just friendlies, and were Bruce Arena's first two matches in charge, but they still counted for the Yanks in terms of FIFA points. They'll look to improve their position in March, when World Cup qualifying begins.
Unlike their neighbors to the north, Mexico are trending upward. They jumped up one spot from No. 18 to No. 17 after beating Iceland in a friendly. They, too, will get their shot to boost the resume once World Cup qualifying resumes next month.
