NFL players will say almost anything to get in an opposing player’s head. Here’s the latest case in point.
Broncos safety T.J. Ward was on ESPN’s "Highly Questionable" on Monday and was asked who was the scariest guy on his team. After rattling off a few names, Ward was asked about defensive end Derek Wolfe.
"Wolfe, he says some things out there that are highly questionable," Ward said. "He doesn’t say too much. His presence, he’s a dog on the field."
Then host Dan Le Batard asked for more specifics.
Don’t mess with Derek Wolfe.
"I heard him hit someone with the Mike Tyson," said Ward, referencing Tyson’s famous line about eating a competitor’s children. "He told somebody he was gonna eat their kids."
When pressed, Ward spilled the beans on whom this was directed toward.
