His comments were brief and apparently hurried, but Robert Griffin III spoke to the media on Thanksgiving Day for the first time since the announcement this week that the Washington Redskins were benching him in favor of quarterback Colt McCoy.

In a 35-second Q&A reported by Comcast Sportsnet and The Washington Times that took place as Griffin was walking from the Redskins' practice bubble to the team's primary facility at Redskins Park, the beleaguered quarterback offered a few short responses regarding his demotion.
