Richard Sherman said he didn't apologize to Seahawks coaches for calling them out

Richard Sherman didn’t back down regarding his criticism of Seattle Seahawks coaches four days after calling them out following the team’s 24-3 win Thursday night.

Sherman told reporters Tuesday that he had no regrets and didn’t apologize for yelling at the coaching staff, including head coach Pete Carroll, during a third-quarter goal-line scenario. Sherman was upset that the team passed on first-and-goal, a throw that was nearly intercepted. The Seahawks scored two plays later on a Russell Wilson 1-yard pass to Doug Baldwin.

"I don't like it when we throw the ball at the 1 [yard-line]," Sherman said to reporters after the game. "We throw an interception at the 1. Luckily it went incomplete, and I wasn't going to let them continue to do that.

"I was letting Pete know. I was making sure Pete knew that we're not comfortable with you throwing the ball at the 1."

On Tuesday, Sherman said he had a “fantastic” conversation with Carroll and also discussed the situation with offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell. Sherman also said that he might have a similar reaction in the future.

Toward the end of the news conference Jim Moore of 710 ESPN Seattle asked, “Did Carroll mention possibility of a fine or suspension during Friday's meeting?” and “Do you feel like you have better handle on play calls?”

As Sherman walked off the stage he threatened the reporter.

“You don't want to go there. You do not. I'll ruin your career.” Moore asked how that would happen. Sherman fired back, “I'll make sure you don't get your media pass anymore.”

Sherman elaborated on the situation late Tuesday.
