How to watch the Texans-Patriots game for free on Twitter

In the olden days, one needed a television subscription and access to the NFL Network to watch "Thursday Night Football." Luckily for all of us, we live in the future -- where all you need is an Internet connection and a computer, phone or tablet to get your weekday football fix.

For the second consecutive week, "Thursday Night Football" will stream live on Twitter.com. Week 3's game between the 2-0 Houston Texans and 2-0 New England Patriots is scheduled to start at 8:35 PM ET and will be simulcast on CBS and NFL Network as well. Click here and you'll be all set for kickoff:

Although the stream was 20 to 30 seconds behind the televised broadcast in Week 1, the video quality was top-notch with minimal buffering. The only downside for regular Twitter users is that you can't select an option to have your own timeline displayed alongside the broadcast. Instead, Twitter offers a curated feed of its own.
