Vikings' Sullivan, Robinson turning corners in respective rehabs

The Minnesota Vikings have two players with reserve designations who are on target to return as soon as they are eligible to do so.

The first is cornerback Josh Robinson, who suffered a partially torn pectoral in June. The fourth-year pro avoided surgery and has been rehabbing on the physically unable to perform list through the first five games of the season. He is eligible to return for Minnesota's rematch with the Detroit Lions on Oct. 25.

"I think I should be good [to play]," Robinson said of the Week 7 matchup, according to ESPN's Ben Goessling. "I'll let them make the decision, but I think I should be good."

The second player nearing a return is center John Sullivan, who underwent back surgery in September and was placed on short-term injured reserve. The 30-year-old veteran ran for the first time on Monday, according to ESPN. He's eligible to return on Nov. 8, when the Vikings face the St. Louis Rams at home.

"I'm certainly hoping so," Sullivan said about playing in Week 9.

Sullivan has been the Vikings' starting center for the past six seasons, so the team eagerly awaits his return. Minnesota will be just as glad to get Robinson back, but he'll be more of a depth addition when he returns.
