Adrian Peterson has nickname for Harrison Smith: 'Gangster White Boy'

Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith has earned plenty of respect in four seasons with the team. He's the closest thing to a defensive counterpart for running back Adrian Peterson, who is easily Minnesota's most valuable player.

Peterson has noticed Smith's impact and has even come up with a nickname for him.

Via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press:

Smith missed Weeks 12, 14 and 15 with knee and hamstring injuries, but he made a healthy return to play the New York Giants on Sunday night. His presence was felt almost immediately in the form of a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown. It was the fourth pick-six of his career, setting a Vikings franchise record.

"Gangster White Boy" is just one of Smith's nicknames. He is also known as The Heartbreak Kid, Hit Man, Dirty Harry and Bonecrusher for his ability to lay big hits.
