Ndamukong Suh spent his offseason interning for Dolphins owner Stephen Ross

Last offseason, the Miami Dolphins signed Ndamukong Suh to the largest contract for a defensive player in NFL history. It pays the defensive tackle $114 million ($59 million guaranteed) over the course of six years. He's now one year into the deal, but Suh hasn't sat back and relaxed since cashing in.

Instead, he's been proactive in attempting to make more money and further his wealth and well-being. Earlier this offseason, he did an internship with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. Why? Because what else was he going to do in March.

In addition to internships, Suh has gotten into real estate. Five years ago, he invested in a developmental project in Nebraska, which is where he went to college. His alma mater has also led him to work with billionaire investing icon Warren Buffett. And Suh hopes to be as wealthy as Buffett some day down the road, though it's not his only goal.

Buffett has endorsed Suh in the past, but he did so recently once again in an interview with Complex. Buffett is a big fan of the Dolphins star, both on the field and off it, and believes he's poised for success beyond football.

Suh may get a bad rap in the NFL for his dangerous (and seemingly intentional) plays, but he knows what he's doing off the field. And he's going to use his education and connections to secure a future after he's done stuffing running backs up the middle.
