Report: Off-duty cops hospitalized after alleged altercation involving LeSean McCoy

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy and former San Diego Charger Curtis Brinkley were allegedly involved in a weekend altercation involving three off-duty Philadelphia police officers.

According to a police report obtained by CSN Philadelphia, two of the officers had broken ribs and were treated at a local hospital. The dispute reportedly started over ownership of a champagne bottle at a Philadelphia night club early Sunday morning, with McCoy and Brinkley joining an altercation that initially involved former University of Pittsburgh football player Tamarcus Porter.

The Bills issued a statement Monday morning:

"We are aware of the reports regarding LeSean McCoy and in the process of gathering more information. We will not provide any further comment at this time."

McCoy spent six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles before being traded to the Bills last offseason. McCoy and then-Eagles head coach Chip Kelly sparred after the trade, with McCoy intimating that Kelly's personnel moves had to do with race

Brinkley was a Chargers running back from 2010-12.
