Report: Colts not expected to extend Pagano before 2015 season

Published Mar. 27, 2015 12:29 p.m. ET

The Indianapolis Colts have already said they're in no rush to give quarterback Andrew Luck an extension. And it appears as though that course of action extends to head coach Chuck Pagano.

The Colts are not expected to negotiate an extension for Pagano before the start of the 2015 season, the NFL Network reported Thursday.

Pagano is entering the final year of a four-year contract he signed before the 2012 season. He has guided the Colts to three consecutive 11-win seasons, though his first year he missed 12 games due to cancer treatments.

Colts owner Jim Irsay said the team will also hold off on giving Luck an extension this offseason. Luck's deal ends in 2017.
