The winless Detroit Lions should get a huge lift from starting outside linebacker DeAndre Levy this weekend, if he's able to complete his return from a hip injury.

Levy was a full participant at Wednesday's practice, according to Lions senior writer Tim Twentyman, who expects the weak-side linebacker to make his return to action this Sunday.

Levy was the Lions' leading tackler last season with 151 stops (second most in NFL); he also had 2.5 sacks and a safety. In 2013, the 235-pound defender showed off his expertise in pass-coverage with 15 pass breakups and six interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown.

Detroit has sorely missed Levy during its first four games of the season, each of them being losses. His ability to make plays near the line of scrimmage and in coverage will help the Lions in their hunt for that elusive first win.
