Eagles trade DeMarco Murray to Titans, Murray’s agency confirms

DeMarco Murray is heading to Tennessee.

The running back’s agency confirmed that the Eagles dealt Murray to the Titans and a new contract is being worked on with the club.

The Eagles appear to be making somewhat of a clean break from the Chip Kelly era. Kelly brought in Mathews before last season, when Philadelphia finished 7-9.

Murray struggled in his first years in Philadelphia.

Murray rushed for 702 yards and six touchdowns a year after leading the NFL in rushing with the Cowboys, running for 1,845 yards.

Earlier Monday, the Eagles dealt Byron Maxwell and Kiko Alonso — two other players Kelly added last offseason — to the Dolphins for draft picks.

The Eagles reportedly are also listening to offers for running back Ryan Mathews, yet another Kelly addition.

The Titans hold the No. 1 pick in the April draft and have eight draft picks — three in the top 64 selections.
