GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Left tackle David Bakhtiari likely will miss the rest of the Green Bay Packers practice this week because of knee soreness.

The team hasn't offered details on the injury to the third-year veteran who protects MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers' blind side.

Coach Mike McCarthy said before practice Wednesday that Bakhtiari was on a treatment program that would ''pretty much'' keep him out the rest of the week. He added it would be a stretch for Bakhtiari to play in the preseason game on Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Don Barclay will work at left tackle with Bakhtiari sidelined.

McCarthy also said Clay Matthews would miss practice because of an elbow issue, but the linebacker came out for the start of practice in pads later Wednesday and stretched with the team.
