Darnell Dockett reportedly will retire from the NFL on Monday

Darnell Dockett hasn’t played a regular-season game since the 2013 season, and the three-time Pro Bowl selection reportedly is ready to announce his retirement.

A longtime Arizona Cardinals defensive end, Dockett will make the end of his decade-plus career official Monday, according to ESPN.

Dockett, 35, was entering his 11th season with the Cardinals when he tore his ACL during 2014 training camp. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers in 2015 but was released before the regular season.

Dockett will finish his career with 40.5 sacks, including a career-high nine in 2007. He played in the Super Bowl at the end of the 2008 season and was a polarizing figure off the field because of his outspoken personality and social media antics.
