La'el Collins named top-ranked offensive player Week 1 by Pro Football Focus

Dallas Cowboys rookie offensive lineman La'el Collins has not been named to the starting unit yet, but with a few more performances like the one he had in the Cowboys' preseason opener, it's only a matter of time.

Collins was dominant from his very first preseason snap, and according to Pro Football Focus, he earned the highest grade of any offensive rookie from the entire slate of Week 1 preseason action. His block on Chargers defender Chi Chi Ariguzo has made the rounds on the internet in recent days. You can check it out here if you missed it.

Collins finished as one of the most dominant offensive linemen in college football, per College Football Focus, in 2014. He will continue to do battle for the starting left guard spot, but at this pace, he is a good candidate to open 2015 as the starter.
