Cowboys place Dez Bryant on injured reserve

Published Dec. 30, 2015 12:25 p.m. ET

Dez Bryant still isn't quite done with that foot and ankle injury that ailed him in the first game of the season.

The Dallas Cowboys announced that Bryant will be placed on the injured reserve list to undergo surgery.

Bryant suffered the initial injury in the Cowboys' opening game against the New York Giants.

Bryant returned from the injury in Week 8, but was forced out of Dallas' most recent matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Bryant finished his season with 31 receptions for 401 yards and three touchdowns in nine games. That's Bryant's least-productive season of his career.
