Glazer: Cardinals QB Carson Palmer could return as soon as Week 6
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer finally received some good news on the mysterious injury that has sidelined him the past few weeks.
Palmer, who has been battling a nerve injury, could return as soon as next week against the Washington Redskins or the following week against the Oakland Raiders, FOX NFL Sunday insider Jay Glazer reports.
Palmer flew to Denver to meet with Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning's nerve specialist and had it worked on for two days. The belief is the nerve finally released and Palmer is on his way back to playing.
Palmer, in his 12th season in the NFL, sustained the injury during the season opener against the San Diego Chargers. Quarterback Drew Stanton has been replacing Palmer since, leading the Cardinals to a 3-0 record.
