WATCH: Newton wanted to 'return the favor' after Beckham's dab

Odell Beckham's shenanigans overshadowed many aspects of the Carolina Panthers' win over the New York Giants on Sunday. From his early dropped touchdown to fighting with Josh Norman, Beckham also managed to tweak Cam Newton by mocking his dab.

Don't think the Panthers quarterback didn't notice, either.

On the game-winning drive, Newton led Panthers 49 yards in eight plays to set up Graham Gano's 43-yard field goal. But Newton revealed afterward that he was hoping to get into the end zone on that drive.

"I was really trying to score. For obvious reasons for Odell, but I'm not going to make it personal," Newton said, referring to Beckham's dab.

"It's obvious what he did," Newton said, "But it's good. It's all in the game. We're just having fun."

Newton unintentionally (or intentionally?) just dropped a classic Omar line from "The Wire" which may have meant that he wasn't exactly pleased with Beckham, though he did say this when asked.

"Nothing personal. Odell is an unbelievable guy," said Newton, who threw for five touchdowns against the Giants. "I just wanted to return the favor, that's all it is. Just all fun and games. That's all it is."
