Calvin Johnson gives props to Steelers' Brown

Published Jun. 24, 2015 3:59 p.m. ET

Looks like Lions receiver Calvin Johnson would have no grudges about passing the torch to Antonio Brown as the NFL's best receiver.

Brown was the decisive victor in a recent poll of fans to determine the league's best wideout on NFL Network with 54 percent of the vote. Dez Bryant came in second with 32 percent while Johnson finished third with 14 percent.

After seeing the results, Johnson tipped his virtual cap to Brown, who led the league in receptions (129) and yardage (1,698) to go with his 13 touchdowns.

Johnson has been slowed by injuries the last two seasons after threatening the 2,000-yard plateau in 2012. He caught 71 balls for 1,077 yards and eight touchdowns in 13 games last season.
