Bills RB LeSean McCoy sparks Twitter beef with Lakers guard

Published Apr. 14, 2016 1:54 p.m. ET

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy was one of the many athletes in awe of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant as he scored 60 points in his final game Wednesday, and McCoy tweeted several messages in admiration of "the greatest ever to touch a basketball."

As Kobe was embraced by his teammates on the court, McCoy called the Lakers "clowns," and called out rookie D'Angelo Russell and veteran guard Lou Williams (who did not play Wednesday).

There's not much evidence to explain why McCoy is targeting Williams, but McCoy did play in Philadelphia at the same time Williams was with the 76ers. Williams has never been publicly charged or accused of domestic violence.
