Ben Roethlisberger says Tom Brady is the best quarterback 'in the world'

Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady have been two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for some time now. Not only do they win more than most at their position, but they put up numbers that are rivaled by few.

Brady obviously has the edge on Roethlisberger thanks to his extended time in the league and additional rings, but that’s not to say Big Ben is a far worse quarterback. He’s close to Brady and very well could have won MVP last season if not for injuries.

Roethlisberger acknowledges Brady’s greatness, though, and believes he’s the best in the league.

"Tom's the greatest in the world, and I mean that," Roethlisberger said, via ESPN.

Of course, Roethlisberger has a leg-up on Brady this season given Tom’s four-game suspension as a result of Deflategate. Brady will be away from the team for the next four weeks, but Roethlisberger doesn’t think Brady needs any help from him with regards to getting through the time away, saying he “doesn’t need any advice from anybody.”

Roethlisberger and Brady will square off in Week 7 when the Patriots pay the Steelers a visit in Pittsburgh.
