'Lord of the Rings' fans don't want to watch a NASCAR race
Fans of the epic fantasy "Lord of the Rings" flicks were up in arms Sunday morning, thanks to the rescheduled Coke Zero 400.
As you well know, rain forced NASCAR to move the race from Saturday night to Sunday morning ... which also happened to be the same time as a scheduled "LOTR" marathon on TNT. Not everyone was happy with the change ... here's a sampling.

It says there's a lord of the rings marathon on but they are airing NASCAR. What kind of sick joke is this?— Nick Torres (@yourkingnico) July 6, 2014
Went from pure joy to agony when I clicked on TNT to watch Lord of the Rings and freaking NASCAR was actually on.— Cortlin Simpson (@CmoneySIMPS) July 6, 2014
It says Lord of the Rings is on but they're actually playing the nascar race WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME— ⊰Mackenzie Noel⊱ (@noelizax) July 6, 2014
Lord of the Rings marathon was interrupted by live Nascar and I've never felt so... violated.— Tyler Schmieder (@TylerSchmieder) July 6, 2014
Jeff Burton didn't seem to mind ... but he may be a little biased.
It would however be fun to have a contest to determine which driver looks most like Smiggle!— Jeff Burton (@JeffBurton) July 6, 2014
Maybe NASCAR and "LOTR" have more in common than people think?
