News: Menard qualified 17th for Sunday's rain-shortened event at Michigan International Speedway and was scored in the eighth spot when severe weather ended the race early, rcrracing.com reports.
Impact: Menard has always performed well at the Michigan oval, and Sunday's race was no exception. Even the multiple stoppages due to rain couldn't derail the No. 27 team from their appointment with a Top-10 finish. It was just what the doctor ordered for this RCR driver and team that's looking for more consistency. Menard's fourth Top 10 of the season allows him to hold 12th in the championship standings after Michigan.

News: Menard's No. 27 Pittsburgh Paints/Menards Chevrolet SS team started Sunday afternoon's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway in the 18th spot and finished eighth, rcrracing.com reports.
Impact: Menard and the No. 27 team would battle tight-handling conditions in their Chevy Impala SS. However, the team would make the right adjustments and Menard would keep it in the middle teens most of the day to have an opportunity to race at the end of the day. By the final pit stops the veteran driver would hold onto the Top 10 and finish there with his third Top-10 finish of the season. He moves into 12th-place in the driver point standings after the Monster Mile.
