News: Santana has agreed to a four-year, $54 million contract with Minnesota, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact: The Twins needed starting pitching, and Santana's 8.2 K/9 from last season will be a welcome addition to a staff that has lacked strikeouts -- although his career K/9 is just 7.2. He's also averaged more than a home run per nine innings in his career, so a move to homer-unfriendly Target Field will help.

Impact: Santana's deal, which guarantees him $55 million, contains a club option for 2019 that could become guaranteed. The 32-year-old was 14-10 with a 3.95 ERA for Atlanta this year. He was an AL All-Star with the Los Angeles Angels in 2008.
