AP Top 25 poll: Oregon leaps Alabama to No. 2; FSU No. 1

Oregon’s blowout win over Michigan State was enough for the AP Top 25 poll voters to put the Ducks ahead of Alabama for the No. 2 spot this week.

Meanwhile, the Spartans fell to No. 13 with their loss. The poll also saw Ohio State fall from No. 8 to No. 22 with its home loss to Virginia Tech. That result was also enough for the Hokies to check in at No. 17 in the rankings, after entering the season unranked.
