Alabama senior free safety Geno Smith was arrested and charged with driving under the influence Saturday morning, according to the Tuscaloosa (Ala.) County Sherrif’s Office.

Smith’s bond was set at $1,000, according to the sherrif’s office.

This is not Smith’s first run-in with the law. He also was arrested and charged with DUI in 2013.

Smith had 56 tackles last season and was a potential replacement for Nick Perry, who was a senior last year.
