Scores all 12 in second halfWright returned for the start of the second half of Saturday's game against Washington State after having his right leg rolled up on and had 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3PT, 2-2 FT), se...
ImpactWright suffered what looked like a potential significant knee injury in the first half of Saturday's game but he said afterward that the play just re-aggravated a bruise he had from the game against Stanford on Jan. 16. The 6-0 senior was able to play through the pain and actually ended up scoring all 12 of his points in the second half. Wright is averaging 14.8 points, 5.8 assists and 4.7 points in 32.1 minutes per game as he continues to flash his all-around talent on a consistent basis. He'll look to help the Buffs end a two-game losing streak when they host Washington State on Wednesday.

Leads Colorado with 16 pointsBattey posted 16 points (6-11 FG, 0-0 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and zero assists across 30 minutes in Saturday's 70-59 win over Washington.
ImpactIt was Battey's third consecutive game with double-digit points, and he also recorded a block and a steal for the first time this season. He was efficient from the field, connecting on over half of his field goal attempts while going perfect from the line. Battey could be in line for a bigger role if McKinley Wright's leg injury causes him to miss time.

Exits with leg injuryWright was helped to the bench after having his left leg rolled up on in the first half of Saturday's game against Washington State, Pat Rooney of the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
ImpactWright was unable to put much weight at all on his leg as he exited to the bench. The point guard was diving for a loose ball and had his leg rolled up on awkwardly. We'll have to see if he is able to return at some point or if this becomes a longer term issue.
