UFC fans had a hilarious reaction to Michael Bisping vs. Georges St-Pierre

UFC fans rejoiced two weeks ago when it was announced Georges St-Pierre had re-signed with the promotion. But his first fight back might have been a bit of a letdown to some of those very same fans.

UFC president Dana White announced Wednesday that St-Pierre will be facing middleweight champion Michael Bisping in his first bout in over three years.

Bisping was speculated as a potential opponent for GSP, and it was widely reported that the Brit and GSP were in negotiations in 2016 for a possible fight at UFC 206. So it was surprising that when the UFC asked for GIF reactions to the star-studded fight, fans took the opportunity to troll the fight promotion’s Twitter account.

However, it looks like a fair amount would rather see these two greats matched up against other fighters. Bisping should probably be fighting No. 1 contender Yoel Romero, especially after “The Count” was given the chance to fight Dan Henderson. GSP just as easily could have challenged the winner of Saturday’s UFC 209 main event for the belt he never actually lost.

Instead, they’ll fight each other, and my bet is fans tune in regardless of their GIF reactions.
