UFC 185: Pettis vs. Dos Anjos viewing and schedule guide

Two title fights will headline UFC 185 in Dallas as lightweight champion Anthony Pettis puts his belt on the line for the second time as he faces rising contender Rafael Dos Anjos while new women’s strawweight champion Carla Esparza faces off with dangerous striker Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Pettis returned last December after a long layoff from injury as well as coaching The Ultimate Fighter where he dispatched Gilbert Melendez by submission.  With his body healthy, Pettis wanted to keep a very active schedule for 2015 so he returns in March, just four months after his last title defense.

Dos Anjos will get his first crack at a UFC title since joining the promotion in 2008.  The Brazilian has been on a tear of late, winning eight of his last nine fights before earning the shot at Pettis in Dallas.

The co-main event will feature recent Ultimate Fighter winner and new 115-pound women’s champion Carla Esparza as she takes on multi-time Muay Thai champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.  Esparza looked virtually untouchable through her run on the reality show and title fight, but Jedrzejczyk will be the most dangerous striker she’s faced in her career.
