Sean Connery is pumped

RIGHT ON!

Sean Connery is fired up about the US Open. And he is pretty hyped about these things, too.

Vasek Pospisil of Canada advanced to the second round of the Malaysian Open on Monday after eighth-seeded Jurgen Melzer of Austria pulled out with a left leg injury while trailing 6-4, 2-0.

Pospisil will face Michael Yani, who defeated Brian Baker 6-3, 7-6 (4) in an all-American match.

In other first-round action, Igor Sijsling of the Netherlands ousted Malaysia's top-ranked player, Ariez Elyaas Deen Heshaam, 6-2, 6-1. He will face either Feliciano Lopez or Lukas Lacko of Slovakia.

Jimmy Wang of Taiwan beat Riccardo Ghedin of Italy 6-3, 6-3, maintaining his improved form in a year in which he qualified for the main draw at Wimbledon and reached the second round at the US Open.
