Juventus' first Scudetto since they were stripped of the title in 2006 has been remarkable for two reasons. This is Antonio Conte's first season in charge of the Old Lady and incredibly the men in black and white stripes went through Serie A unbeaten.
Most pundits expected Barcelona to sweep all before them this season but Jose Mourinho put paid to those thoughts by steering Real Madrid to the their first title since 2006-7. Virtually wrapped up the title by beating Barca in Camp Nou - a sweet win indeed.
Manchester City clinched the Premier League title in dramatic fashion. Trailing 2-1 to QPR entering stoppage time, Edin Dzeko equalized before Sergio Aguero gave City their first title since 1968. Incredible ending to an incredible season.
“The little team from Cyprus that shocked the world. I almost never cheer for teams, but I leapt out of my seat and roared when the Cypriots put Lyon out on penalty kicks. Simply the feel-good story of the year in a season when there were too many feel-bad moments.” – Jamie Trecker
“Without using the cliché “a breath of fresh air” I have to admit I looked forward to watching Swansea when the opportunity arose. Didn’t win anything and probably won’t for years to come but in 2011/12 they were great to watch.” – Christian Miles
"Newcastle has been so consistent this season all over the field, and up top when Ba isn’t scoring Cisse is.” – Warren Barton
