Rumor: Unemployed to West Ham // Likelihood: Odds getting shorter // Sam Allardyce seems to be living on borrowed time at West Ham because of a difference of opinion. Sadly for Sam, this conflict involves the owners. Allardyce recently said that Ravel Morrison was not part of his plans at Upton Park, but club co-owner David Sullivan disagrees and would like to offer him a longer contract. It will not be forgotten Sam! David Moyes (remember him?) was the clear favorite a week ago and remains so with some bookmakers, although former Celtic boss Neil Lennon is now in the box seat.

Rumor: Fiorentina to Juventus // Likelihood: Possible // Savic may not have cut up any trees at Manchester City, but his displays at Fiorentina have caught the eye of Serie A champions Juventus, who are thought to be interested in a swap deal with Mauricio Isla. The Viola hold Savi in higher esteem than Isla, so for this deal to be alright Juve may need to stump up more cash.

Rumor: Southampton to Liverpool // Likelihood: Reds face competition // Loic Remy’s move to Liverpool may have collapsed, but that hasn’t stopped the Reds from sniffing around their feeder club Southampton for another of their young products. Jay Rodriguez is quite possibly the only player left at Southampton but he may not be there for long. Word has it that Tottenham are waiting in the wings to sign the England international – along with French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin. Poor Ronald Koeman. What has he got himself into?

Stefan de Vrij
Rumor: Feyenoord to Lazio // Likelihood: Looks likely // De Vrij’s World Cup performances saw him linked with plenty of high-profile clubs, including Manchester United – not that Louis van Gaal needed the World Cup to discover what de Vrij was like – but all the speculation can stop right now. Why? Because the future of the Feyenoord defender lies with Lazio, who are happy to spend $11.39 million on the 22-year-old center-back. Sounds like good business to us.

Rumor: Roma to Manchester United // Likelihood: Silly // Holland midfielder Strootman missed out on the World Cup because of a cruciate ligament injury, which is expected to keep him out of action until autumn. Louis van Gaal has admitted he would consider making an offer for the Roma midfielder in January once his compatriot has recovered. However, Roma sense blood and have imposed an excessive £79 million ($134 million) transfer fee on their man -- a figure which, if paid, would make him the third costliest player of all time and just $1.7million cheaper than Cristiano Ronaldo. See what we’re saying?

Rumor: Shakhtar Donetsk to Arsenal // Likelihood: Long way to go // Douglas is one of six players refusing to return to Donetsk because of the conflict raging between Ukraine and Russia. Douglas said on Instagram that the players “all run a deadly risk if we are in the region.” The way Arsenal see it this is a great opportunity to conduct a key piece of summer transfer business and are thought to be ready to make a £15.8 million ($27 million) bid for the Brazilian. Shakhtar are tough cookies at the negotiating table, so this one could run throughout the summer.

Rumor: Marseille to QPR // Likelihood: Stranger things have happened // This would be a beautiful thing for Harry Redknapp and his Premier League returnees, should he pull it off. Valbuena, one of France’s best performers at the World Cup, turned down a move to Dynamo Moscow last week because he doesn’t fancy living in Russia. Arsenal and Liverpool are thought to be in the running, but one thing’s certain – Valbuena would be in the starting line-up every week should he sign for the west Londoners. And he gets the joy of a reunion with Joey Barton. Who could turn that down?

Stephan El Shaarawy
Rumor: AC Milan to Real Madrid // Likelihood: Don’t think so // El Shaarawy was apparently offered to the European champions a couple of weeks ago, but this deal is not one for me. The Italy forward made just six appearances for Milan last season in a season ravaged by a foot injury and surely needs to prove himself over again to secure such a move. Sure, Real Madrid might be looking for a new striker if they offload Karim Benzema but El Shaarawy won’t be his replacement.

Angel di Maria
Rumor: Real Madrid to Manchester United // Likelihood: Big season for Mata // Stories of di Maria urging United to come and rescue him from his Real Madrid hell appear to be wide of the mark. The story goes that the Argentina winger has been earmarked for a loan spell at PSG – something di Maria opposes. However, United don’t feel that his prospective move to France is in trouble – and in any case van Gaal has been impressed with Mata in preseason so much that the Spaniard is expected to be given a key role in attack this season. Di Maria and Mata would be glorious in attack, but we don’t think this one is on the cards.

Rumor: Juventus to Manchester United // Likelihood: It’s not going away // Despite Vidal saying he was “not going to Manchester” and both Marotta and Allegri insisting the Italy midfielder will stay at Juventus, this rumor will simply not go away. Gazzetta Dello Sport reckon United will make a £48 million ($81.5 million) bid and double the wages of Vidal, whose agent will approach Juve with news of United’s approach this week. Noboby knows for certain how this will turn out, but we feel it’s leaning toward a United move.
