Watch the Warriors set a record with 47 assists in blowout win over Lakers

We knew the Warriors wouldn't be as good defensively as they've been in years past, but with Kevin Durant now in the fold, we also knew that they'd have a chance to be historically great offensively.

Golden State was exactly that on Wednesday, and set a franchise record with 47 (!) assists in Wednesday's 149-106 win over the Lakers. By assisting on 88.7 percent of their made field goals, they also did something no other team ever has.

One of the questions surrounding these Warriors is whether or not they'll be mentally motivated to bring it on a nightly basis. That obviously wasn't a problem against a Lakers team that handed Golden State one of its two losses on the season, and the Warriors exacted revenge by racking up the most points we've seen all year -- while making history at the same time.
