Watch Russell Westbrook emulate MJ's most famous dunk in latest Jordan spot
Russell Westbrook is the Jordan Brand athlete who has the honor of wearing the company's flagship sneaker in the majority of its advertising campaigns. Jimmy Butler repped the Jordan 31 at the Olympics and is a fine brand ambassador, but Westbrook is the guy.
In the latest spot hyping the anti-gravity machines, Westbrook takes off from the free throw line, just like Michael Jordan did at the dunk contest back in 1988. Only this time, there was no landing in sight.

And yes, that "Some run" line very well might have been intentional shade thrown Kevin Durant's way for leaving Oklahoma City to join a historically great Warriors team in free agency this summer. But whether it was or it wasn't, Westbrook remained, and most expect him to have an absolutely incredible season next year when he finally gets the chance to play outside of KD's shadow.
